Pneumatic Fenders

Pioneered in 1958, Yokohama’s floating pneumatic rubber fenders have a solid track record of providing cost-effective, versatile, efficient and safe fendering for ship-to-ship and ship-to-jetty applications with a service life of 15 to 25 years if well maintained.

At BigFish, we offer a number of standard-sized pneumatic fenders ex stock from 0.5m to 4.5m diameter, 50kPa (7 PSI) internal pressure.

The undernoted ‘specials’ are available manufactured to order:

• 80kPA (11 PSI)
• Hydro pneumatic submarine fenders
• Sling-type fenders without a chain-tyre net

Fender rental is available by the day, week or month. Alternatively, if you prefer to purchase, we have new and used pneumatic fenders available ex stock.

We also provide complete through-life fender maintenance and inspection services worldwide, including chain-tyre net replacement, safety valve certification, overhaul and calibration and full body repair, carried out by Yokohama-certified technicians.

Oil & Gas, and Chemical Hoses

• Referenced by inside diameter, length and pressure rating, with due consideration to the product they are intended. For i.e. 10” x 11.7m, 150lb suitable for gas oil
• Transfer hoses in rubber, stainless steel and composite materials are available for transfer of liquid & gas products including petrochemicals, acids and even some food stuff.
• Common hose diameters for ship to ship transfer are 6, 8 & 10 inch ID in 150PSI and 300PSI pressure ratings. However the range available runs from 1 inch to 12 inch ID.
• Floating hoses are manufactured to order up to 24 inch ID.

Quayside & Vessel Fendering

• Bespoke fendering systems for terminals and jetties are available in many different configurations from simple rubber arch, element or cylindrical extrusions to complex cone and steel panel systems
• Specifically tailored to the onsite environmental conditions, jetty construction and range of vessels calling at the facility – these are designed and manufactured to order
• For vessels, we offer D, W and cylindrical rubber fendering ex stock, cut and drilled to required specification.
• Also available from stock are aircraft, tractor and lorry tyre fenders, pre-drilled with all-fixing hardware required for installation.

Modular Work Pontoons & Floating Bridges

• Construction, crane barge & work platforms, and floating bridges are available for rental & purchase for near shore and offshore operations of up to 100km, including shipyard support, core sampling, drilling and diving operations.
• Able to be assembled and disassembled quickly at ease in water, these modular pontoons can be configured to your requirements.
• Can be easily shipped by sea or road.
• Allows access to restricted water areas and can be stored ashore between projects.

Booms & Buoyancy

• Booms for pollution control, anti vessel incursion, line of demarcation and exclusion zone marking.
• Buoyancy – surface and subsurface – for pipelaying, mooring, anchor pendant, marker and aids to navigation applications in steel, foam elastomer and roto moulded polyethylene.
